I have used these while refereeing 6 soccer games, of varying degrees of competitiveness. They add incredibly useful communication and enhance teamwork among the referees. My first trial run was refereeing a 12U academy girls game with younger ARs, one a first year official. I've used them with fairly experienced officials on High School games as well.
Everyone so far likes working with them. From coaching newer officials to giving information in competitive situations, they enhance the experience.
The pairing is also very simple. They have very detailed pairing instructions on youtube. After the first successful pairing, they will automatically connect afterwards without the need to pair again.
The radio equipment and armband seem sturdy enough, the headset less so -- the wire is kind of thin. Overall durability is unknown as yet.
You will want a roll of medical tape to keep with them to help the headset stay in place while you sprint.
Sound quality and mic sensitivity are very serviceable. It isn't hi-fi, but you can hear what's being said. And no, the whistle doesn't bother anybody.
I would buy again, and have referred interested colleagues.

I've been a interscholastic soccer ref for 20 years & after using similar radios the last few years found how invaluable they are to making the right call. I would recommend these to any soccer official.
They're easy to use once programmed. Vocal clarity is great. They hold a charge for several games (I've used mine for 7 games without charging.)

Was using a different radio previously and these were far superior and clarity is awesome in comparison. Worked with the same old radios some of the crew was using.
