Yes, You can use different models of products together, but we do not recommend this.

Used these intercoms to go snowmobiling and I was really impressed with the quality and the range that they have from each other, never lost communication with the other and were able to ride worry free.

So far I liked it. Works perfect. Mic is good for calls and even when on high speed, the person on another side of call can hear me very clearly. It auto answers the call in 5 secs. Moduler and speakers and mic feels of good quality material.
I am very impressed with these intercoms. I have very loud pipes on my bike but can still converse with my rider with no problem. I've only gone up to 60mph with them but I could still talk with my rider without yelling. Pairing was a bit tricky but turned out to be very simple thanks to a YouTube instructional video.Installation was very easy and straightforward. I have 2 identical helmets so I tried both the metal and plastic mounting clips. Both held the unit very securely.I am very pleased with these intercoms.
